Asus Zenfone 5Z India launch Highlights: price, specifications, features, comparison

After the launch of Asus Zenfone max pro M1 with an aggressive performance in India, Today Asus has launched another premium killer smartphone called Asus Zenfone 5z. Today Asus has officially launched Zenfone 5z in India. As per my point of view, Asus Zenfone 5z will be the Oneplus 6 and Mi 8 killer. The Asus Zenfone 5z will be available in both online and offline market. In online it will be available exclusively via from July 9. The Asus Zenfone 5z will be available in Midnight Blue and meteor silver colour option. The Asus Zenfone 5z comes in three variants, the base variant is 6GB RAM/64GB Storage variant is priced at Rs.29,999, the 6GB RAM/128GB storage is priced at Rs.32,999 and the top variant 8GB RAM/256GB storage is priced at Rs.36,999 in India. Asus and Flipkart are offering Rs.3000 flat discount for ICICI bank debit and credit card holders. There will be also Rs.2200 cashback and 100GB additional data for the jio users.

Now coming to the display of Asus Zenfone 5z, it has a 6.2-inch Full HD+ Super IPS display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The back panel of Asus Zenfone 5z looks awesome. The display of Zenfone 5z comes with Corning Gorilla glass protection. The Asus Zenfone 5z display comes with a notch but the good thing is that you can hide the notch in the setting section. The Asus Zenfone 5z is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with Kryo 385 CPU and Adreno 630 GPU. The Asus Zenfone 5z runs on Android 8.0 out of the box with ZenUI 5.0. Asus has confirmed to give Android p in the further updates.

Coming to Asus Zenfone 5z camera, it has a vertically stacked pair of a camera. The rear camera consists of 12MP Sony IMX363 with the f/1.8 aperture with OIS and a secondary 8MP Omnivision 8856 sensor with fixed focus with f/2.2 aperture and a 120° wide angle lens. The 12MP is the main sensor whereas the 8MP will capture the depth effect. The rear is coupled with a Single LED flash. On the front, Asus Zenfone 5z has the same 8MP fixed focus Omnivision 8856 sensor for selfies and video calls. 

The Asus Zenfone 5z comes with the hybrid sim slot. The battery of Asus Zenfone 5z is 3300 mAh and it supports 18W fast charging which is a very good option. The Asus Zenfone 5z also has sports speakers and three microphones. Various connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-fi(2.4GHz+5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack and USB type-c port.
